I would probably end up never using it except for maybe a few people, but It wouldn't be worth 10 years of my life. AND even if I did get a Death Note, I'd most likely get the Shinigami eyes, and basically shorten my life even more.

Quite actually you can't do that. There's a rule in the death note called the 23 day rule. If you write a cause of death that extends past that it won't work :p
