But what if my superpower is regeneration? This dilemma would only affect me for a short moment. It would make for some funny moments.... Walking on the beach suddenly crippled from the waist down fall on my face and ten seconds later I just get back up... Lel

What people don't realize is that not being able to walk was an example. So sure, pick being able to fly or something, but you could still lose the ability to see or something.
