Since cancer has the tendency to mutate and survive treatment, and since way more people are hungry/malnourished than have cancer, and since solving the hunger problem will allow people in many areas to pursue other things besides food, it stands to reason... [Show full comment]

Just choose the one that can technically have both. Don't press the button, and cancer can be cured- and it's still possible that world hunger will be stopped.

I'm part of that 54%, yes. But I've just found out my father's cancer is spreading to his liver. I have some hope of them finding a cure within his remain time span. Not because I'm a "privileged white kid" who knows nothing of "struggles like this".
