First, it doesn't say you'd lose the MONEY after 48 hours, just the stuff you bought prior to that. But let's assume you do. You still don't have anything to lose. Worst case scenario you end up back where you started. I would buy a billion dollars in gold, wait 48 hours, then liquefy my assets.
