SAO is a show where they get trapped in a VRMMORPG video game called Sword Art Online, hence the name of the show Sword Art Online, or SAO. They did not mean sad. Btw S1 part 1 is great S2 part 2 is bad s2 is great the alt is great and I dont remember if s3 and s4 (the alice part) is good or not

There is no downside. It never says that you can't leave the game, just you can only use vr.
