Isn't that how it works? Becouse you stop time people don't age, but you are not froozen in time so you will still age? That means i just have the power to stop time, no downside. Besides that you might die before your friends, but then you don't have to watch your friends die. That is a win win.

If you can freeze time, you have to be able to exist outside of it in order to resume it. Therefor, you can manipulate the world while its frozen and do the world good.
