Scientists have guessed that time travel machines could only go back as far as the time the time machine was activated. So unless the time machine was activated at the same time as this button was pressed, they couldn't go back far enough. LOOPHOLE THROUGH SCIENCE

This is an epic paradox. Let me explain. I would press the button and invent time travel. People would go back to stop me from pressing the button, which means they would stop time travel and make this never possible. Which means I could press the button.
