The nonexistence of God is irrelevant to the hypothetical concept of becoming godlike. If you became godlike, you'd be the God or at least close to qualifying as one.

It says "loose" so it"s easier to make wishes or they have more loopholes. The more powerful you get the easier it is to gain more power.
