I think the problem with wanting the power to have emotions is that by the time you lose all of your emotions you might also lose all of your motivation and will to get them back, if those count as emotions.

If you were emotionless, you wouldn't state being emotionless. That would imply your desire for someone to care about you (desire is paired with happiness).
