What's the deal with the inter dimensional teleportation thing I mean I get that you can basically be anyone do anything and go anywhere, but you could just say. " I want the powers of God and then you get that and it's easier

Astral projection would render the coma almost meaningless, save for the fact that people would have to take care of your physical body. That's probably still not the power I would wish for, though; I'd just use the powers I had in the month I had to do what I could to the best of my ability.
