Since I can go into any world, and the only thing that is lost when I travel through is my memories from said world, I could just make up my own world in which I would gain the permanent ability to remember things from worlds I have gone into.

Technically you lose nothing either, because you could opp not to go. And, it never said you had to come back to the regular world, so, you could potentially live there. I like the journal idea.
