minimum wage is not enough to live on in the united states. $7.25 an hour, or $14,500 a year. 20k is concidered the poverty line.

In MA thats $320/week before taxes, so not even $300/week. That isn't enough to live off of BY FAR. Forget having a car because you have to have car insurance and gas is expensive and you also have to health insurance here, too. Not to mention food and she... [Show full comment]

I might be wrong but I think minimum wage in the UK is about £400 a month so in this case its £400 a week which makes £1600 per month & after taxes, bills etc you'll probably have a fair bit left for anything else so, yeah I'll press the button.
