@Cheyenne Flutters: You and 5 people can travel to the moon and you can live there as you normally would on earth (No oxygen tanks required, Internet still works etc...). The only part of that I agree with is that the scenery would get boring after a while. 3 months maybe...

Being stuck on the moon with the same 5 people for 10 years would get boring, since the moon is super hot during the day, supercooled beyond human tolerance at night, and looks the same no matter where you go.

i see no downside. You can get away from people and bring your closest friends with you. If you got bored, you could always use internet, talk to the five people you brought with you, especially if you brought a significant other, and do basically whatever you want!
