Not really, your smell influences your taste, meaning losing your smell makes u lose a portion of taste, but smell alone doesn't grant taste.

Pressed it. If I can't taste, nothing tastes bad. I can eat everything I wanted to try! If I'm eating something someone else made and they ask how it tastes, I can say "it doesn't taste bad at all!" or something like that.

Well technically speaking, loosing taste does nothing. Smell effects taste so If you loose smell you lose taste but only loosing taste will do nothing. So free invisibility!
