Well if I remember correctly there is a cure for AIDS, and if I find a cure for cancer I could cure the cancer I already have then I could cure my aids and not only will I have saved millions of people but i'll actually get to live to go to college and get my dream job so there are no downsides

Most people here are confusing HIV with AIDS. AIDS is Acquired Immune Deficiency Symdrone, meaning HIV already ran its course and destroyed your immune system. You CANNOT live a normal life with AIDS, as the common cold will kill you. And even most allergens.
