tehhypergamer, i'm fairly certain that Katy is referring to the tranformation that Tyler Lockwood goes through when he transforms into a werewolf. But you are right in one thing though, it's not a vampire, but i doubt that is what Katy meant :)

Because you get to be a werewolf. This is the exact defintion of a werewolf and what the transformation is like. Sides you'll get used to the pain and eventually it will seem like you dont feel it.
