As much as I have wanted to learn Japanese, I would not want to make my handwriting Illegible and make myself only speak in grunts caveman style, not for me thank you.

Simple: Talk Via a writing app (Word, Notepad, Etc.) on your Computer or Phone. Pretend you are mute (so nobody asks you to say stuff out loud). Congrats, you now know every language at the cost of minor inconvenience.
