I have a very high end gaming PC. Any Xbox game I could even want to play is also available on PC, and will run better on PC. Why would I even need an Xbox?

Is backwards compability when you can insert a disc in the same console type but not other consoles wich are not in the same type? (example: Xbox 360 and Xbox 1 are in the same type but Playstation 2 and Playstation 3 are in the same type of console as Playsation 1.)
