50 years is a lot, even if you live for eternity. Imagine being stuck in an empty room (no entertainment, food, etc.) for one hour. You'll go berserk with boredom.

Why does very one want to be immortal? Seeing your kids and your significant other, your parents and your siblings, all your friends, you would see all of them die in front of your eyes. Then be forced to live with it, plus the 50 years. Sounds horrible to me.

Don't see an upside. Even without prison I"d outlive all my loved ones. Prison would just make it impossible to spend enough time with them.
