Hmm.. If it implies you will eventually die from aging related effects, then sure, its fine. If it means you'll continue to age and become a crippled, mindless sack for all eternity, then that would be pretty bad..

Well if youre not immune to the effects of aging then you would die of old age anyway so it only makes it so it prevents accidents

When you die of old age, don't you die of organ failure? One of your lethal organs? The question is, does immortal cover you from organ failure? My conclusion is yes, so you can't die. You could have a diffrent opinion/understanding, but this is how I read the question.
