There really isn't a downside if you think about it. If your child dies you will never see them again anyway, but this way you won't see them but you can guarantee their safety.

Yeah, but by pressing the button it would also mean that a child that was completly safe would become a dying child, which would be saved, but i wouldnt want to make any child have to experience almost dying.

Omg so sad my daughter won't see or hear me anymore if I were to save her right now she is battling cancer and she is only 3 and I'd rather save her and not hear or see her again than let her die!

But if they die you'll never be able to see or hear from them again. But your thinking "ah! But not being able to see and hear from them is the same as dying. well not really because you know they are safe and don't have to live with the guilt of having the option to save them and not taking it.

No one is thinking that, we are the smart ones, we just dobt put them in danger in the first place, they are never in danger if you dont press the button, and then they wont die and can still see you.
