it says 'play an Xbox One' as in 'pretend to be one' so you have to buy one, but you do not have to play WHIT the Xbox One.

people don't know why the xbox one is hated because it required a stable internet connection in order to function, same thing with a Kinect constantly plugged in to the Xbox in order to function
