If your family never existed then you wouldnt exist so you wouldn't press the button so then you would exist and you would press the button and you wouldn't exist to press the button and stop yourself from existing and you would make a time paradox and the universe would collapse.

If you stop a lot of major turning points in history, the world would be totally different, and not necessarily in a good way.

Ignoring the "positive" to this question, stopping all bad events is not exactly smart. Changing the past radically changes the future and history as a whole. Who's to say if 9/11 didn't happen, then something worse would have? Butterfly effect is real.
