okay I don't get the people who did not push it. He is a human being, and you were just given the option to have him alive again. The counter option does not make your life any worse than it is as of right now, so why not give the guy a chance to be alive again?

fun fact! my mother was related to Kurt Cobain for a short while, through marriage. someone from our family married into their family, but eventually the family was separated through divorce. my mom said for a while it was "cousin Kurt"
