Pushing the button doesn't force you into boiling water. Now you just simply, if somehow you end up drowning in boiling water, you can not drown so... yay? There's not really a reason not to push the button, imo.

Read again, it says "You Can" not "You must", in extreme case it can save your live. No downside unless you are stupid enough to do it deliberately only 'cause you can.
