It's not lose the ability to talk, it's lose the ability to COMMUNICATE. That means no sign language, no writing it out, no speaking a different language. It says you gain the ability to learn anything, but it might not include learning how to communicate again.

Miker55555 OP never said you can't communicate anymore. You lose the ability. That ability is not blocked from you, you can still get it back
