I see no downside here, If I really do have any issues with myself then I just commit suicide and see what happens next, If anything it's being immortal without the issue of boredom

BUT it says every time you die. It doesn't mean that you will be a reborn child, you will just get older and older and never die.

There's no downside. It's more of an inconvenience, really. I could just explain what's happening to my family, get a rifle, bugger off into the woods and reset until I was happy with the random character generation.
