I would have very well trained warriors as my most trusted bodyguards so the assassins would have to get through them first

First order - make a lead lined mech suit with titanium armor and framing, comfortable interior, USB relays in the hands that lead to the cockpit, insane amounts of guns, etc. fire all bodyguards when assembled, then when i get in, never get out.
