Loophole: it doesn't say you die from it, besides there are treatments now that keep cancer under control, but don't get rid or it completely. Just use one of those and your good to go!

There is not "a" cure for cancer. This implies that you find the cure(s) for all known forms of cancer, but you get a completely new form of cancer.
