everyone has an 100% chance of dying. This just means that 1 more of those percentages is going to be painless. It doesn't say that you will die now.

The people who didn't press the button are actually smart, and realized that pressing the button would basically spawn someone with a knife. If you don't press, the random person won't be at risk of dying

So, to everyone who pressed the button; Would you REALLY do it? I doubt it, you have families and dreams and most people are too selfish to actually take a stabbing instead of someone they don't know.
