All of you saying "Stephen Hawking" or "With my intelligence I'd just make some brain speech computer", the downside is "Lose all ability to communicate." See the word ALL. Hawking's mecha chair speech computers and brain speech computers are things that grant the ability to communicate.

I'd create a mind link device. Also, losing all ability to communicate means writing and other solutions impossible. A mind link device is something technically not communicating due to it being heard in ones mind, and out through physical means.
