It depends on how time travel would work. You can't change something in the past. I think Harry potter and the prisoner of wizard jail explains how I believe it would work. Or just kill him after your parent on that side is born

I would but only because he is only dead and it might be one of the cool things that twists with your brain say if i didn't kill him with the time machine he would still be alive and that wouldnt be supposed to happen but this would not actually happen because my grandfather died of age
