Out-dated doesn't mean unpopular, it just means it's old. Most good metal is already 20+ years old, so I honestly don't see the down side here. I get to get rid of rap and metal still lives on as an old, great genre? Sure

I don't care if metal is outdated by 20 years, I'll still listen to it. I still listen to some songs that are outdated by over 100 years. And let me just say, Chopin's Nocturnes, Op. 15: No. 1 in F Major goes fantastically with pretty much every gif on the internet.
