But this would put you out cold immediately. You would just feel immense pain for like 1-2 seconds and you would be unconscious.

If the pain is extremely great, you would most likely pass out from it in the first place when it comes... however, you wouldn't notice things like cancer or getting run over and bleeding out, so that would reduce your lifetime overall... hm

OBJECTION! If you "never feel pain again in your life", then the downside is an impossibilty! The pain is supposed to occur the day BEFORE you die, therfore you're still alive and by default, unable to feel pain!
