does the 20% chance to not have aids kick in if you end up getting aids but still keep curing i.e you cure someone and get aids couldnt you just spam the cure till you land on the 20% not to have it and just not have aids

HIV is actually super-controllable nowadays, plus you can only get it once so whatever. Also at an 80% chance you are looking at, like, near certainty.
