The only reason I pressed the button is because if I have the mental ability to read minds, I would also have the mental ability to shield out thoughts. Its not turning my ability off, I'm just "blocking" the thought waves. :)

The thing with abilities is that you can choose to use them. Like you can jump really high but you can jump lower if you want to... or set the mind reading range to 0 meters or less

It didn’t say that you read EVERYONE’s mind, it just says you can read minds, so you could just read the mind of one person at al time. I see no downside

but you still have the ability to chose whether to use it or not; just as you have the ability to run. you can chose to run or walk but you"re not "turning off" your ability to run, you"re just not using it :p hehe

this doesnt technically mean you constantly hear everyone thoughts... i think of it like reading in general. when we gain the ability to read we cant turn that off, but we can close the books or not look at the thing. so we wouldn't be constantly bombarded...[Show full comment]
