Adulthood lasts a lot longer than childhood. So this is effectively saying have a nice first 18 years but a horrible 82. (Assuming you live to be 100. You may live longer or die early.)

"You may live longer or die early." So in your understanding, someone who dies at age 80 dies early? A big majority of people, even in the western world, die early? Like seriously, I don't know the exact numbers, but living to be 100 is something only pretty few people achieve..
