I'm two times better at living... So my mortality rate increases by two. But downside - only live half as long so I'm back to my original mortality rate.

Quality not quantity. Your life will be a happy one, so it won't matter when you die. But if you"re two times better at everything, it means your organs and body parts will last twice as long so you'll live the same amount

I'm two times better at everything. This means I am also two times better at living. Therefore, I only live as long as I should have initially due to the downside :)
