Nukes, which provide Mutually assured Destruction, are a good thing, they prevented WW3 between the US and the USSR. Now that more than one country has them, they will likely never be used, they exist as a deterrent.

The reason I said no is that it is good that nukes are so bad. After one (well technically two) instances of them, the world said "let"s never do this again."

Listen. If there are no nukes, people will still invent something equally bad. And if they forget how to make them, it"s a small gap in their knowledge, which will eventually return.
