US, Russia, China, India, Pakistan have already performed nuclear blasts on their own territory and they all still exist, so if you live in those countries (or any country with a lot of uninhabited land) you can still be safe

WEll um... they didn't say the nuke had to BE from ANY COUNTRY, just a nuke. So like, let's make the nuke hit like, detroit since no one lives there anyway! And no one else gets nuked because they didn't say any country or person had to launch it.
