Welcome to the wonderful world of localised anaesthetics, you literally don't have to notice anything. Also I like the part of "can" remember, so it's an optional recall thing and not based around being prompted and having total recall of everything related, which would probably suck.

Assuming this is a temporary pain that wears off, and I can only do it when I choose to do it for memories I find too fuzzy or non-existent, yes, sounds great. If it's too bad ever I can just not do it again, that's how pain is supposed to work.
