To be honest, I'm more afraid of the unstated consequence that all that space exploration at our level of technology has great odds of being very dangerous for humankind - including me - than of the fact that I'll get to stay here inside all day. If we got the technology bonus, too...

They would have to bring all the space stuff back to earth first, so they could study it and learn how it works, and earth would be the first planet they use the space technology on, so earth would be the most advanced human-inhabited planet, making no downside.
