I would learn 5 languages from the books I chose by studying them closely. If I had brought random books I wanted to read I would finish them all within the first 5 days at most so that just wouldn't work.

I could go to Mars; or a another dimension. Maybe there will be super geniuses in that dimension that will alter my brain. Then, I might also be a genius, come back here, stay in solitary confinement reading educational books, and, finally, get out and fix the world's problems. Yay.

Exactly. I can read that in 10 days. If I had to make 5 books last for 5 months, I could recite them word for word. And probably go insane also, but that was always in the cards for me so....

I"d bring my mom"s Lord of the Rings (full in 1 book) Dune , War and Peace. A digest of next years news, including lottery numbers and stock trends. and a notebook.. the author said any 5 books I wanted. Didn't say they had to be real.
