i am my own body so how does this work? your brain controls your body and if your body somehow doesn't want to do what your brain does AKA you YOU WOULD INSTANTLY DIE so that means there is no downside if you click the button or not

It doesn't say your body is disconnected from your brain just that it wouldn't do what your brain said and there are real people with similar problems, although they do not completely loose control of their bodies they might try to lift their left leg but instead they lift their left pinky finger

The implication that it is possible that destructive actions lead to positive consequences is interesting. That being said, it does not mean it will happen. TL:DR, My friends and family and love ones will be fine.
