The death happens after the copy is made, so the copy will not have any memory of the other one dying unless the copy is nearby (you just teleported up to some sort of platform nearby) and sees the old you die.

No, you don't. You create a clone where you want to be and then you die. You don't switch perspectives.

But matter cannot be destroyed nor created so if you teleport the copy that was supposed to be killed then it will not be destroyed. :P I might be a bit crazy but i'm just curious. lol
