To avoid killing off someone with first wish just do this. Wish 1: for my first two wishes the people will resurrect immidietly. Wish 2: None of my wishes from here on out will cause anyone harm unless by my own intention.

Wish for everything I need and at the end of the day, boom. I wish for all the people who died via my wishes to come back to life. Of course after I explain this to them.
