why not get this power, you can litterally survive huge extinction level events like a third world war or a meteor striking the earth, by just teleporting away, also anywhere on earth is also within the solar system so instant teleportation anywhere on the planet.

Yeah... I would take crystals from an ultra-far-from-earth planet, then go back and sell it. Next day i would get kidnaped and asked HOW i got these. I would probably die laughting during teleprting to center of sun by mistake xD
