Downside? Never be tired because of walking around, and can't you just float like an inch above the ground.

You can jog, run, crawl, etc. Also, you could fly while in contact with the ground and push yourself along like you are walking. I see absolutely no drawbacks here.

I would just hover a few centimeters off of the ground and make people think I was walking. That might get difficult to explain when I'm in heels, but I think I'd be ok with that.

There's literally no drawback. You can jog, run, sprint, lever a millimeter above the ground and fly. That's not a bad thing.
