Assuming that traveling backwards in time is the same as traveling negative time and forwards positive then you could only travel back so you gain more life and then when your done go forward subtracting less life than before if not slightly and then you gain life.

time travel to an unreachable future which has both a cure for cancer and has some sort of antidote to your deducted lifetime issues. that way u r pretty much fine and when u get back to the present easy as pie sell the cure for cancer for trillions of $$$.

I'd have no use for this If I cant go back in time to medieval times and learn to be a knight then come back to modern civilization Infact I couldn't even make a vintage medieval sword collection...
