If we had everything we wanted with someone dying in the process, we'd have everything we wanted which would make life pointless and also make the world suffer grief in the process.

Its true that everyone will die in then end, but it doesnt have to be filled with pain and suffering. So taking away this burden from the planet to end yours and even receive recognition is way more admirable than continuing to live an average life and die as a nobody.
